Contractors and designers tasked with perfecting modern bathrooms often find themselves at the crossroads of functionality and simplicity. The rising popularity of smart showers and technologically advanced bathroom features has not squashed the desire for a tranquil space. Homeowners crave personalization and luxury, yet they want to feel at ease in their home.

We recently spoke with Christopher Freeman, owner of The Freeman Company, to learn about his bathroom remodel. Like many others, he aimed to find indulgence and convenience in his daily routine and turned to the AIRMADA AirJet Shower Drying System to do so.

Where did this installation take place?

This is actually my primary residence in Florida.

Tell us about your background in home design and construction.

I am a high-end custom home builder with The Freeman Company. The Freeman Company specializes in custom home building, remodeling and commercial buildouts. Based out of Central Florida, we offer years of experience, design inspiration, quality custom work, and a one-of-a-kind build. The Freeman Company offers a personalized building experience from conception to completion. We were the 2023 Florida Parade of Homes grand champion.

What was the inspiration behind the design of this house?

I really wanted an English farmhouse – open space, a clean layout, lots of white and neutral tones. Throughout the home, we used large format porcelain tile, white oak cabinetry, quartz countertops, auto-frosting glass doors in the bathroom and a complete lighting system. The goal was to have the house be beautiful, functional and simple.

Why did you chose AIRMADA Drying Solutions for the bathroom?

We installed AIRMADA’s AirJet Shower Drying System with 19 AirJet Nozzles. I’ve never been a big fan of steam showers because of how nasty and moldy they can get without proper ventilation. I used to actively warn my clients against them. I never recommend anything in their homes that I wouldn’t put in my own. Now, I think steam showers are great because there is a way to keep them looking new and clean. It’s a simple problem: wet walls. Now there’s a simple solution: dry them. It doesn’t need to be complicated.

You can choose your level of luxury. Showering could be a nice, relaxing, spa-like experience, or you could take a quick shower and go about your day. Will you use AIRMADA products in future homes you design and build for clients?

Every house I do is going to have the AIRMADA AirJet Shower Drying System. Whether my client has a steam shower or not, this system just makes sense. It keeps the walls and floor dry, so there’s no slippery soap spots or dampness. This is great especially if you have kids. The room is safer, and it feels cleaner when it’s dry.
